Neil William Pomfret is a Lecturer in Podiatry in the DNBSPPR Division of ɬÂþÌìÌÃ.

Neil is a HCPC Registered Podiatrist with a largely clinical background. Since graduating in 2015, Neil has worked as a specialist Podiatrist within the NHS where workload focused on the high-risk foot and limb salvation. Neil has worked in private practice here in the UK but also overseas having spent time practicing in both Singapore and Australia.
Working as a Fly in Fly out podiatrist in Australia, Neil worked closely with indigenous communities in remote and rural clinics. Undertaking the MSc Theory of Podiatric Surgery led to Neil making the switch to academia and joining the Podiatry Team here at ɬÂþÌìÌÃ.
Neil is also employed by the Scottish Football Association and works in Sports at Hampden Sports Clinic.

My MSc centred on exploring treatment and management options in the management of Mid-Portion Achilles Tendinopathy reviewing the evidence and exploring the concept of Injection therapies as an adjunct to current treatment options.

Neil is the Admissions tutor for the Master of Podiatry (MPod)/BSc (Hons) Podiatry course. Neil's teaching is focused on Clinical and Musculoskeletal focused modules. His teaching days are typically Monday to Wednesday.
